stannisbaratheon:

au meme / tywin and cersei vs stannis, modern au (@denaerys)

there’s intrigue at every turn and only the most skilled at the corporate game would know when to to use it best. baratheon and lannister are two of the oldest families in london, and when the two are joined in marriage between robert and cersei, they become the richest as well. they monopolize the corporate ladder for twenty years, baratheon and lannister dictate the stock market according to their whim. until robert dies months shy of his fiftieth birthday. scotland yard says it’s an accident, supported by security camera footage of a car wreck in the wee hours of a wednesday morning. however, a tip from an anonymous source drags robert’s younger brother stannis to the start of intrigue. murder, the source says, and stannis hires his own investigative team, not at all expecting to find anything extraordinary. a car accident by an aging drunkard. but his team unearths evidence of a different nature, leading to suspicions of the children’s paternity, of corruption, illegal dealings, and murder. stannis is out for justice; cersei protects what is hers. lannister has all the gold of casterly rock, against all the fury of storm’s end. london is where they meet.

SOUTHPAW CROSS

“Wealth, Fame, Power. The man who had acquired everything in this world, the Pirate King, Gold Roger. The final words that were said at his execution sent people to the seas. “My wealth and treasure? If you want it, I’ll let you have it! Look for it! I left it all at that place!”. Men now, chasing their dreams, head towards the Grand Line. The world now enters a Great Age of Pirates!”

Dear Society,

annie-banks:

When I say “I’m not having kids,” I mean I’m not having kids. That is not your cue to say “Oh you’ll have kids” or “You’ll change your mind” or “It’s different when they’re your own.” It is not a personal attack on your lifestyle. It is my choice. Stop trying to force your ideas of how life should be lived down my throat.

Sincerely,
Fuck you

[04/12] + otp: iroh ii/asami sato

AU: post-finale - Asami accepts an invitation to attend a meeting of the United Forces to offer her knowledge and experience of the Equalists’ technology.

001: She hitches a ride with General Iroh to their headquarters. They end up befriending each other when he gives her some pointers to fine tune her self-defense skills.

002: Asami overhears from the crew about a confrontation between them and her father, who apparently sustained injuries when he resisted their attempts to restrain him for information. She confronts Iroh and he merely explains that Hiroshi’s knowledge about Equalist machinery could prove useful to the United Forces. Although she still feels conflicted between her anger and love for her father, Asami reluctantly drops the matter but not before forcing the general to promise that no harm would come to Hiroshi again.

003: At the Headquarters, Asami frequently drags Iroh along to test their prototype mobiles. She teases him about his difficulties in handling machinery, and they spend their free time together in and out of meetings by racing. Iroh finds that although he has no real love for driving as much as he does for sailing, he doesn’t mind it so much when he’s on the passenger seat.

004: With the meeting coming to a close, they both find themselves conflicted when they part ways. Aware that his duty no longer calls for him to remain in Republic City, he shares goodbyes with her before leaving for home. It only takes three days before he decides to turn back.
